Protect the whole home

More than a finishing touch.

Your roof sheds rainwater. Your gutters and downspouts help move it away from the fascia, siding, landscaping, and areas around your foundation.

We look at where the water is coming from, how it reaches the gutter, and where the downspout discharges it.

Gutters shouldn’t just look good.
They need to move water.

Right-sized for the home

5-inch or 6-inch?

Bigger isn’t automatically better. Roof drainage area, pitch, valleys, local rainfall, gutter runs, outlets, and downspout locations all matter.

5-inch

Seamless K-style

A proven choice for many residential homes, balancing drainage capacity, appearance, and value when properly sized for the roof.

If a 5-inch system suits your home, we won’t recommend a larger one simply because it costs more.

6-inch

Seamless K-style

Additional capacity may make sense for larger drainage areas or concentrated runoff. Outlet and downspout capacity must suit the system too.

We’ll assess the roof and drainage layout before recommending the right size.

You don’t need to know your gutter size before contacting us. That’s part of our recommendation.

Seamless where it matters

Continuous runs.
Careful installation.

Our K-style gutters are formed in continuous sections to fit the home, minimizing seams along the runs. Connections are still needed at corners, outlets, and ends.

Size & pitch

Match the gutter to the runoff and establish the appropriate slope toward the outlets.

Secure attachment

Sound supporting surfaces and appropriate fastening matter as much as the gutter itself.

Downspouts & discharge

Plan the outlets, downspouts, and above-ground discharge as parts of one system.

The support matters too

A new gutter needs
something solid to hold onto.

The fascia is the vertical board along the roof edge behind the gutter. The soffit is the underside of the overhang. AI-generated educational illustration; not an Appalachian Roofing Co. project or installation specification.

The fascia and supporting attachment area behind the gutter matter. Some deterioration may only become visible after the old gutter is removed.

If compromised wood prevents a secure, proper installation, we’ll document it, show you what we found, and explain the appropriate correction. We won’t simply hide a known installation problem behind a new gutter.

Sound supporting surfaces help the roof edge, optional Shur Flo Gutter Protection, gutters, and downspouts work together. Any relevant source of deterioration also needs consideration.

Follow the water

The goal isn’t simply to catch water.
It’s to manage it.

Water management starts higher on the roof. Flashing around chimneys, walls, and penetrations helps direct water toward the roof edge, where the gutters and downspouts take over.

Shur Flo Gutter Protection

Less debris.
Keep the water moving.

We offer Shur Flo Gutter Protection as an option for homeowners who want to reduce leaves and larger debris entering their gutter system.

Its low-profile perforated design fits over the gutter opening, allowing rainwater through while helping keep larger debris out.

We’ll assess the gutter condition and installation requirements when recommending protection for your home.

01, THE ROOF

Keep drainage paths open.

Debris can collect in valleys, behind chimneys, and near the roof edge. Don’t overlook it simply because the gutters have protection.

02, THE GUARD

Watch the surface.

Leaves and smaller material can remain on top of gutter protection. Accumulation can interfere with water entering the gutter.

03, THE DISCHARGE

Keep the system flowing.

Gutters, outlets, and downspouts still need observation and maintenance. Check that water is discharging appropriately above ground.

Have elevated roof and gutter maintenance performed by a qualified professional.

Replacing your roof?

Evaluate the gutters too.

That doesn’t mean they automatically need replacement. If your gutters are in good condition and performing properly, we’ll tell you.

If they’re damaged, leaking, pulling away, or poorly suited to the home, we’ll explain what we see and your options.

Gutters on their own

No new roof required.

You don’t have to buy a roof from Appalachian Roofing Co. to have us install gutters. We can evaluate a standalone gutter replacement or new installation.
