Small concerns deserve
a closer look.
Leaks, loose shingles, and worn roof details need a clear diagnosis before a repair plan.

Leaks & water intrusion
A visible stain may be only part of the issue. An assessment helps identify the area that needs attention.
Damaged or missing roofing
Wind, age, and wear can affect individual shingles and roof sections.
Flashing & roof transitions
Chimneys, walls, valleys, and penetrations deserve careful attention.
The details keep
the water out.
Great shingles or metal panels are only part of a reliable roof. The connections around chimneys, walls, and openings need to manage water too.
Chimney flashing on shingles

Chimney flashing on metal

What is chimney flashing?
Flashing connects the roof to the chimney and directs water around it. Depending on the assembly, this may include step flashing, apron flashing, counterflashing, and water-diversion details integrated with the roof covering.
The right arrangement depends on the roof material, chimney construction, roof shape, and applicable installation requirements. A leak near a chimney can also involve the chimney itself, so we assess the cause before recommending a repair.
Does your chimney need a cricket?
A chimney cricket is a small, sloped structure behind the chimney that helps divert water around it. Not every chimney needs one.
We’ll evaluate your roof and chimney, explain whether one is needed, and include it in the recommended scope when appropriate.

Chimneys & walls
Flashing must work with the roof and adjoining construction to direct water past the intersection.
Valleys & transitions
Changes in roof shape and material need details suited to the water they carry.
Vents & penetrations
Plumbing vents, skylights, and other openings need compatible components and properly integrated flashing.
Sealant has a role.
The right sealant in the right location supports a roofing detail. It should not substitute for proper flashing. Repeated layers of patching may signal an underlying problem; appearance alone doesn’t establish the cause.
Repair the cause. Not just the symptom.
We evaluate how water enters, how the detail should work, and whether repair or correction is appropriate. We document our findings and explain the scope. Additional work follows the agreed proposal or approved change-order process. Chimney masonry or flue concerns may require an appropriate specialist.
Discuss a roof leakA focused repair.
An honest recommendation.
Not every roof concern calls for a complete replacement.
We’ll discuss the condition of the surrounding materials and whether a focused repair makes sense. If the issue points to a larger concern, we’ll explain that too.
For ongoing maintenance, start with the roof’s condition and the specific items that need attention. The goal is a practical plan for your home.

Can you match my existing shingles?
We’ll review available options. Product changes and weathering can affect how closely new materials match an existing roof.
What should I include in my request?
Tell us what you noticed, when it started, and your community. Photos taken safely from the ground can be discussed during follow-up.
Do you provide emergency service?
Please contact us to discuss availability. Submitting the form does not confirm an emergency response or appointment.
