From inspection to final walkthrough

A clear plan.
Care at every step.

Here’s what a typical roof replacement looks like with Appalachian Roofing Co.. Repairs and new construction follow a scope tailored to the project.

Inspection & honest recommendations

We start with your concerns and assess the roof’s condition. We explain what we find and whether a repair or replacement makes sense.

Materials, scope & warranty options

Together, we review roofing materials, the written scope, pricing, and applicable warranty options, including CertainTeed SureStart PLUS protection on eligible systems.

Scheduling & property protection

We coordinate timing, material delivery, access, and a plan to protect landscaping and the areas around your home. We explain what to expect while work is underway.

Tear-off, decking & installation

For a replacement, the existing roofing is removed so the decking can be assessed. If concealed damage or unsuitable decking is found, we document it, with photographs where practical, and explain why correction matters. Work outside the original scope follows the agreed proposal or approved change-order process before proceeding. Installation then follows the agreed system and applicable requirements, with attention to underlayment, flashing, ventilation, and roof transitions.

Cleanup & final walkthrough

We clean the work area, collect debris, and perform a magnetic sweep where appropriate. We review the completed work with you and address questions.

Documentation & follow-through

We review applicable product information, care guidance, and warranty registration documents. You know how to reach us with questions after the work is complete.
